Building

Research & Development

From a pragmatic point of view, the building, in the broadest sense of the term, is built according to its sole purpose. Some architectural or decorative liberties can be taken, but a factory remains a factory and an office building is optimised to accommodate offices. In this case, urban planning will consist of simply allocating zones based on purposes, with the aim of creating the necessary conditions for the development of these territories. The issue related to the waveforms (see article on housing) of these constructions is not the only one. The concentration of buildings leads to other issues such as air pollution, noise pollution, traffic congestion, planned obsolescence of structures that cannot easily adapt to new uses or are simply not designed for longevity. The impact on people’s health is very significant and directly linked to these major issues. Numerous pathologies, including respiratory conditions, stress, immune system deficiency, chronic fatigue, and depressive states, are proven consequences of these issues. These manifestations typically occur in the short or medium term. Everything that is constructed should be able to evolve and contribute to the well-being of those who inhabit them, as well as to the well-being of their environment.

A training campaign has been initiated for professionals in the sector, following the same approach as for housing. The transformation of this sector will take longer, as the tertiary and industrial sectors are, on the one hand, still highly subject to cost and financial profitability issues, and on the other hand, still concentrated by necessity in particular areas.

This building stock will benefit from a profound transformation. Firstly, the presence of right angles in buildings will be greatly reduced, to enable occupants to work in a biogenic environment, calibrated according to their purpose. For instance, the shape of rooms and furniture will be able to enhance focus or vigilance. Many scientists in the building sector are currently aware of the related influence. All professional sectors are concerned. Furthermore, the distribution of buildings will be motivated by necessities, potential, and local needs. The buildings will be of more appropriate sizes, equitably distributed across the territories. Finally, everything that might be necessary will be integrated into the cities, distributed in a way that the interaction of each building waveforms generates a particularly harmonious, biogenic, serene, and evolutive atmosphere for all life within a regained sense of cohesion. As a result, the craft industry and certain sectors that had been confined to industrial zones will massively reintegrate the cities, taking their place in suitable structures.

The ongoing transformation is already influencing the transportation sector, which is shifting towards a new logistic paradigm.
